2021年4月2日上午，广西中医药研究院院长兼党委副书记李力一行4人来到四川省第二中医医院，就双方合作开展交流座谈。四川省第二中医医院院长谢刚、总会计师李俊忠、党委委员、院办主任兼事业发展部主任袁杰及相关部门负责人参加了交流。座谈会由院长谢刚主持。

“四川省第二中医医院是一家社会责任感极强的医院，具有大格局的发展意识。在临床、科研、制剂研发与推广等方面值得我们学习.........”座谈会上，广西中医药研究院党委副书记、院长李力对医院事业所取得的发展成果表示赞赏，并介绍了研究院的基本情况，“广西中医药研究院在‘八五’期间是全国排名前十的中医药研究机构，目前急需在发展取得突破......广西壮族自治区拥有丰厚的中药资源，希望在‘川桂合作’的大背景下寻求进一步的交流合作......”李力表示，希望四川省第二中医医院在人才培养、科研发展等方面开展合作，在四川与广西签署的深化川桂合作共同推进南向开放通道建设框架协议背景下，按照“政府推动、企业主体、互利共赢、共同发展”的原则开展更为广泛和深入的合作。
